Frequently asked questions

Answers about development status, pricing, licensing, hosting, and feedback.

Are the products available now?

All products remain In development. Check downloads and releases for actual approved packages. A development milestone does not mean a product has shipped.

Will features cost money?

The products are intended to remain free as in beer. The Free Always pledge prohibits paid editions, feature paywalls, subscriptions, advertising, sale of user data, and a hosted commercial tier.

Can I donate or sponsor the project?

Voluntary donations may be accepted. Donations do not unlock features, priority, influence, promotion, recognition, or preferential treatment. Sponsorships and paid promotional arrangements are not accepted. No donation destination is currently published; see community for other ways to help.

Is the source code open source?

The source-code license remains undecided. Free Always concerns price and commercialization, and does not select an open-source license. Read license before assuming reuse or distribution permissions.

Is there a hosted service?

There is no hosted commercial tier. Website hosting is undecided, and no hosted product service is promised here. Public guides cover installation preparation and configuration.

Where do requests, reports, and votes go?

Use the GitHub channel directory for ideas, provider requests, bug reports, discussions, and reactions. Unavailable channels are labeled. Sensitive vulnerability reports must use private security reporting.

Does the website track me?

The website adds no analytics, telemetry, advertising, newsletters, or data-collecting forms. It stores a theme preference locally. External sites have their own policies, and hosting may process request information; see privacy.
