License status

The source-code license remains undecided. No open-source license has been selected for Athenaeum, Alexandria, or Stache. Do not assume permission to copy, modify, redistribute, or commercially reuse source code from the Free Always commitment alone.

A future approved license decision will be published here. Materials and dependencies with their own licenses retain their applicable terms.

Free Always concerns price

The Free Always pledge concerns price and commercialization and does not itself select an open-source license. The products are intended to remain free as in beer, with no paid editions, feature paywalls, subscriptions, advertising, sale of user data, or hosted commercial tier.

Voluntary donations do not unlock benefits, recognition, influence, or priority. Sponsorships and paid promotional arrangements are not accepted.

Availability

All products remain In development. Source visibility, milestone completion, and license selection are separate from approval of a public release. See downloads and releases for actual approved availability, and contributing for participation guidance.
